If you’re committed to a high-quality skincare routine, the make-up you apply on top should work with your skin – not against it. At RR Skin, Body & Laser Clinic in Dartford, we’re passionate about helping clients build skin health from the ground up. That’s why we recommend Jane Iredale, mineral makeup. It is the clean, mineral makeup brand formulated to nurture the complexion, protect the skin barrier, and integrate seamlessly into a professional skincare plan.
Whether you’re perfecting your everyday skincare ritual or boosting results from one of our in-clinic treatments, Jane Iredale offers skin-loving formulas that allow your skin to breathe, heal and glow.
About the Jane Iredale Brand
Founded in 1994 by former casting and film director Jane Iredale, the brand was created with a clear mission “to develop make-up that supports the skin rather than aggravates it”. After seeing how traditional make-up could cause congestion, irritation and breakouts on actors’ skin under harsh studio conditions, Jane recognised the need for cosmetics that were both performance-driven and skin-friendly.
Jane Iredale was one of the first truly ‘clean’ make-up brands, pioneering the use of high-quality minerals and botanical ingredients long before the concept became mainstream. The brand’s ethos centres around:
- Skin health first – Every product is designed to enhance natural beauty without compromising the skin barrier.
- Purity of ingredients – Formulas avoid harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, talc and comedogenic oils.
- Multitasking benefits – Many products offer built-in skincare ingredients, antioxidants and broad-spectrum SPF.
- Cruelty-free commitment – The brand has upheld a no-animal-testing policy from day one.
- Results you can see – Their mineral technology is trusted by dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners and skincare clinics worldwide, thanks to its gentleness on sensitive, compromised and post-treatment skin.
Today, Jane Iredale is widely recognised as a professional-grade mineral make-up brand chosen by skin clinics, medical aesthetics practices and skin therapists who want to ensure that what their clients put on their skin enhances treatment results rather than hinders them.
This skin-first philosophy aligns perfectly with our own – making Jane Iredale a natural extension of our treatment-led approach to healthy, glowing skin.
How can Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup support your skincare routine?
1 – Cleansing – Start with a Fresh Canvas
A great make-up look begins with thoroughly cleansed skin. After a gentle morning cleanse, mineral make-up sits smoothly and evenly, as it doesn’t cling to oils or dead skin. Jane Iredale’s finely milled minerals glide beautifully onto a clean surface and won’t clog pores throughout the day.
If you double cleanse in the evening (which we recommend), the lightweight formulas remove easily without tugging or irritating the skin.
2 – Toning – Rebalance the Skin Before Make-Up
Toning refines pores, restores pH balance and prepares skin for hydration. When your skin is properly toned, products like Jane Iredale Smooth Affair® Primer layer effortlessly, helping foundation look more refined and last longer. Balanced skin also reduces the need for heavy coverage, allowing mineral foundations to enhance your natural complexion rather than mask it.
3 – Moisturising – Hydration + Minerals = Radiance
Your moisturiser creates a protective barrier that keeps skin plump and comfortable. When paired with Jane Iredale mineral bases such as the Jane Iredale PurePressed® Base Mineral Foundation or new Jane Iredale Skintutuion Liquid Foundation – it can help protect and lock in the hydration while the skin receives breathable coverage, antioxidants and soothing botanical extracts.
This combination benefits dry, sensitive and post-treatment skin especially well.
4 – Sunscreen SPF – Daily Protection + Makeup That Supports It
Daily sunscreen SPF is non-negotiable. Many Jane Iredale products – including Jane Iredale Dream Tint SPF15 – include broad-spectrum protection, meaning you get an extra layer of defence against UV exposure. While sunscreen SPF in make-up shouldn’t replace a standalone sunscreen, it does reinforce your protection throughout the day. Together, your skincare and your Jane Iredale make-up create a shield to support long-term skin health.

Can you wear Jane Iredale Makeup after in-Clinic Treatments?
The answer is, YES. There are no other brands of clean make-up that allow you to apply directly onto the skin after facial treatments – such as dermaplaning, hydrafacial, chemical peels and Environ facials.
After Dermaplaning – skin is smooth and free of peach fuzz, making mineral make-up sit flawlessly. Jane Iredale avoids the heavy oils and fragrances that can irritate freshly exfoliated skin.
After Chemical Peels or Laser/IPL Treatment – when your skin barrier is temporarily more sensitive, mineral make-up provides gentle coverage without clogging or causing inflammation.
During Long-Term Treatment Plans – Clients following acne, pigmentation, or anti-ageing journeys often want to feel more confident with their own skin and aim for a light coverage that won’t interfere with results but emphasise them. Jane Iredale’s breathable, light-weight formulas offer exactly that.
Here in the clinic, we provide a variety of make-up services from foundation colour matching, post-treatment advice, make-up lessons and personalised recommendations during your consultation.
