We can’t stop the ageing process but we to slow it down using a variety of advanced aesthetic treatments, some involve the latest technology machines and some involve cosmetic injections. Dr Mischa’s Work
Cosmetic Anti-Wrinkle Injections
A muscle-relaxing protein (Botulinum Toxin/Bocouture) is injected into the muscles to improve the appearance of movement lines. It will usually take between 3-10 days to start to see any muscle-relaxing effect and 14 days until the full effect has been reached.
- 1 area: £160
- 2 areas: £190
- 3 areas: £220
It can also be used to treat excess sweating underarms £350 per treatment.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are used to recreate the loss of volume in the face, as we grow older our facial muscles and connecting tissue begin to lose elasticity because the lack of collagen and elastic being produced as a result gives a tired and sunken look to the face. Unlike wrinkles, which require muscle relaxants to soften them, facial volume and folds require a dermal filler to help re-volumise and hydrate the area. Hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in the body, is synthetically produced and used as a filler for various parts of the face.
Dermal fillers can be used to treat the lips, though different brands of filler products are used depending on the desired effects. Lips require a softer product that ensures the results are subtle and natural. There are many factors to consider with lips, including border, volume, balance, and symmetry.
- Lips (0.5-1ml) £150-£200
- Chin £200
- Cheeks £220
- Nasal labial lines (nose to mouth) £220
- Marionette lines (mouth to chin) £200
- Tear Trough £220
Are there any side effects after having Dermal Fillers?
The most common side effects occur within 24 hours or immediately post-treatment. These can include swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness. Immediate side effects usually disappear within days. However, depending on the type of dermal filler used, it can take a few weeks. Follow-up consultation is available if you have any concerns.
How long do Dermal Fillers last?
Dermal fillers can last up to 3-6 months and, in some cases, longer. Lips are a high activity area as we use them all the time, this can impact how long the results will last but approximately 3-4 months.
Do Dermal Fillers hurt?
Dermal Fillers feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation as the product is being injected. Pain tolerance can be dependent on the individual client.
Are lip fillers safe?
Lip fillers should only be performed by qualified medical professionals, our aesthetic nurse Louise has a huge amount of experience in lip fillers. Only CE marked reputable branded filler products are used in treatment, these are packaged in a sealed box and vial, only drawn up into the needle just before the treatment is performed.
How will my lips look and feel after lip filler?
Lip filler results are visible straight away; you may experience some mild swelling and bruising for 1-5 days. You may notice some small lumps present, and these will disperse within a day or so. This is completely normal after a cosmetic injectables treatment. A free follow-up consultation is recommended to check the results.
